Kat Dennings is a Pennsylvanian born in Bryn Mawr on 13 June 1986. She was named Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen Dennings, her mom and speech therapist as Gerald was her father, and a college professor. Dennings was raised as one of one of the youngest children in the family of a Jewish family. Dennings attended homeschooling, but attended school briefly. The decision to go homeschooled was made because she was a keen actress at a young age. Dennings was able to finish her high school studies at fourteen years old. At the age of nine, she had already started acting in commercials. Her family moved in Los Angeles after she graduated high school in order for her to study acting. Kat Dennings was her name at the time she started to audition.
