Carey is a former fashion model. She's 5'10" tall and was very well-liked by top American designers, such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, etc. She is the daughter of the world-renowned geologist, who was in 1979 named Scientist of the Year by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey's father was a geologist who traveled across the globe as part of his career. The model began modeling for a part-time basis during her time studying at the University of Colorado and caught the attention of a representative of the Ford model Agency in New York.
